Following being involved in a serious car accident in May 2023 in which two of Alanis' friends were seriously injured, and as a result were transferred from Altnagelvin A&E to RVH RICU for specialist treatment.

Alanis wished to use her 18th Birthday in January 2024 as a way to show appreciation to staff in both hospitals.

What started out as a small idea turned into Alanis, Alongside many family, friends and local business support raising a huge sum of £1280 to be split between the two hospitals.

£640 is a small donation to say a massive thank you to the staff of RICUwho helped her best friend Andrew Patton and other friend Andrew Dunlop to make remarkable recoveries.

Andrew spent five days in RICU receiving treatment for his injuries. The care and support he experienced was amazing and his family can't thank staff enough for the care he received.
